Episode 2!
We back with The Chop Up with announcements and some thoughts on the current debate within the Black indie community!
First up: Who Got Next?
We talk a bit more about our streetball-inspired trading card game where players clash using elemental-powered moves. Think Pokemon meets march Madness!
We want people to be immersed, to slam cards down like they're playing spades, and to really feel the culture of the court. So hit the link below to follow the pre-launch page on Kickstarter, and join us as we bring this vision to life. It's time to ball.

Then: What’s Beef?
The spark was the Dakota Incident 100k challenge, initiated by the creators on the book to prove Static’s value to DC by selling 100k copies. (If you haven’t already, get out to your LCS to cop it. 2nd printing incoming.)
In response, creator Tony Weaver Jr. asked a critical question: Why does a Milestone book need to be the catalyst for us to show up in those numbers? He pointed out that the very creators on that book have their own independent projects we should be supporting with that same energy, instead of organizing buying campaigns for a corporation that has historically been a poor steward of the Milestone legacy.
His comment, Milestone Media is not our salvation, struck a nerve. But is the analysis fair and why won’t DC let Milestone be great?
Let’s chop it up.
